Artist Clover Archer at the Institute for Clew Studies (installed at Prattsville Art Center, 2019)

Clover Archer is a mixed-media conceptual artist living and working in Lexington, VA. In 2016 she established the Institute for Clew Studies, an organizational avatar for her studio practice that operates as an office space, a multi-media production site, an archive, and a research foundation dedicated to the creative interpretation of granular history. Clover is the Director of Staniar Gallery at Washington and Lee University where she also teaches in the art department. She is the recipient of a Professional Fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and has twice been a residency fellow at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts.
